This position will involve leading and representing the chassis engineering team in the Southampton plant supporting the plant with production and quality related issues.
The successful candidate will be the single point of contact and the interface for chassis engineering within Southampton plant. The candidate will have an engineering background with a good knowledge of chassis systems on commercial vehicles. The candidate will have a good practical understanding of chassis systems, being able to problem solve daily production concerns and quality related issues.
In this role, the following skills are required:-
Good problem solving and analytical skills and comfortable with a hands on approach.
Good presentation skills (written and spoken).
IT requirements; Microsoft office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
A good understanding of chassis systems and how each can support vehicle level attributes, mainly weight, dynamics, NVH and braking performance.
G8D knowledge required.
Skills Preferred:
IT proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word, Project), hands on.
Knowledge and use of the WERS system is required.
In plant production experience is required. Engineering Project Management/Team leader experience required.
Experience Preferred:
Component or system engineering.
Education Required:
Degree/HND preferably within an engineering/science based field.
