Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands. Requiring a Senior Buyer to lead the sourcing of a variety of products, identifying suitable suppliers, managing and establishing business relationships.Job Requirements
Duties: * Responsible for agreeing commercial terms * Working within the purchasing IM vendor team focussed on parts with no known supplier source. * Analyse quotations to recommend suppliers * Closely monitoring delivery of timing commitments. * Identification of suitable suppliers will require interrogating part history and to work directly with sourcing engineers * Need to quickly understand the provision of essential documentation * Some travel may be required Experience: * Purchasing and technical/quality experience with project management skills * Ability to analyse data quickly * Prepared to consider alternative means of order fulfillment/manufacture and an appreciation of financial/business case evaluation. * Understanding of WERS, SAP, GBOM highly beneficialFurther Details
