The role will be employed to provide security engineering support across multiple C4I Business Unit programmes and pursuits.

The senior security engineer will provide supplemental security engineering effort and the focused support that is required to specify, define, achieve and maintain the security approval or accreditation of company developed products or systems.Job Requirements
Assessment of potential security risks within a programme or delivery. Specification and management of security requirements. Assist in definition of the security architecture or related control measures to mitigate security risks. Planning, co-ordination and estimation of security related activities. Management and monitoring security engineering and sub-contract activities within a programme. Compilation and production of a variety of security documentation to support the contracted security Approval or Accreditation processes. Investigation, assessment and documentation of potential security impacts surrounding changes to systems, product design or changes in requirements. Assessment and trade studies related to proposed security technologies or options. Evaluation of potential security control mechanisms and products. Secure configuration of components and equipments. Provide focused security support to customers, systems engineers and developers. Support new business opportunities and contribute to bids and development activity. The documentation and communication of security risks, issues, solutions, and designs.Further Details
Confident, practical and accomplished team member, able to work autonomously. Detailed understanding of HMG and Government Infosec security standards. Knowledge of Defence and NATO systems security approval or accreditation requirements. Knowledge of a variety technical security measures including access control systems, authentication mechanisms, operating systems, databases and security application capabilities. Conversant with a variety of system architectures, security concepts and techniques including host based security control mechanisms, cryptographic methods, firewalls and barrier control mechanisms, security methodologies and mechanisms. Good verbal and written, customer facing, communication skills and experience. Experience in the production of a variety of systems engineering and security focused documentation. Ability to review, assess and investigate systems, architectural and design approaches for potential security impacts. Systems engineering and development environment skills or expertise. Familiarity with physical, personnel and procedural security control approaches and mechanisms. UK MoD communication and information systems security experience.
