Our Client is engaged in a wide range of engineering and integration programmes, providing highly specialised skills and knowledge to projects such as C4I and future fighting vehicle programmes including the Future Rapid Effect System (FRES). ISTAR Systems Engineer The role will require close liaison and co-operation with the system engineering and integration subject matter experts and the platform & domain expertise residing in the wider businesses. Your role will have particular focus on Sensors for the Optical and Thermal range..Job Requirements
Responsible for delivering the ISTAR aspects of the EA system against defined requirements. Analysis of ISTAR requirements. Writing LRU and component specifications. Write supplier SOWs. Write installation design and certification requirements for turret ISTAR subsystems. Dealing with subcontractors during subsystem development and integration. Integration and test of ISTAR and emulations of subsystems on SIL rig. Functional analysis. Develop, collate and review progressive assurance evidence from internal and subcontract sources. Mplementation of design solution. Support ISTAR integration and test activity on rigs and the platform prototypes.Further Details
Essential: Significant experience in the defence industry in a domain relevant to ISTAR and/or AFV’s. Experience leading activities on engineering development programmes for large defence systems. Proven requirements development expertise and experience using DOORS. Proven system design and analysis expertise and experience using a SysML tool.
